These terms and conditions outline the agreement between Pacific Kayak Tours Ltd and all participants. By booking a tour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. If you have any questions, please contact us before making a booking.
1. Cancellations and Refunds
1.1 Cancellations by the Customer
Due to the nature of our business and our commitment to small group experiences, cancellations significantly impact our operations. We apply a strict cancellation policy:
- 48 hours or more before departure: Rebooking at no extra cost or refund minus a 25% booking fee.
- 24 – 48 hours before departure: Rebooking at no extra cost or refund minus a 50% booking fee.
- Less than 24 hours before departure or after departure time: No refund.
All cancellations must be made via phone or email. Social media messages will not be accepted as cancellation notices.
1.2 Cancellations by
For safety reasons, we may need to cancel or amend a tour due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, unsafe water conditions, or events beyond our control. If this occurs, you will be offered the following options:
- Full refund minus processing fees (if applicable).
- Rebooking to another available date at no extra cost.
- Choosing an alternative experience (if available), with an adjustment to the price as necessary.
If your booking was already rescheduled once at your request, and you are unable to rebook again, a refund minus 25% booking fee will apply.
1.3 No Refunds Will Be Provided If:
- You miss the tour departure due to personal reasons (e.g., sleeping late, unexpected illness, vehicle breakdowns).
- You fail to show up for your scheduled tour.
- You are denied participation due to safety concerns, including:
- Intoxication (alcohol or drugs impairing judgment).
- Health or fitness issues making it unsafe to participate.
- Disregard for safety instructions from our guides.
Our priority is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, and we appreciate your understanding.
2. Risk Disclosure and Safety
Kayaking is an outdoor adventure activity with inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated. While we follow strict safety procedures, guests participate at their own risk.
- Weather and environmental conditions may cause itinerary changes or delays, and no two tours are the same.
- All participants must follow safety instructions provided by the guides before and during the tour.
- A safety briefing and paddling instruction will be provided before departure.
Pacific Kayak Tours accepts no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage beyond what is required by law. Participants will be required to sign a waiver before starting their tour.
3. Participant Requirements and Restrictions
We strive to make our tours inclusive while prioritizing safety. Please note the following requirements:
- Physical Requirements: Participants must be within a safe weight limit to fit comfortably in our kayaks. Guides must also be able to assist clients back into a kayak in the rare event of a capsize.
- Endurance: Tours require participants to sit and paddle for extended periods without breaks. Please ensure you are physically able to participate.
- Language Proficiency: All tours are conducted in English, and participants must be able to understand and follow safety instructions.

4. Personal Privacy
We respect your privacy. Any personal information you provide will only be used to deliver our services and will not be shared with third parties, except when required by law.
5. Photography and Video Consent
During our tours, staff may take photos or videos that could include participants. By joining a tour, you grant us permission to use these recordings for promotional purposes, including social media, our website, and marketing materials.
If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform your guide before the tour begins.
